Sonja Riket has worked, both on land and in water, with a great variety of people from babies to the elderly in different therapeutic and educational settings. In her private practice and group classes, she combines her 30+ years of worldwide experience as a dancer and movement teacher with Teaching Certifications in the Feldenkrais Method® and Body-Mind Centering® to help people rediscover their innate capacity for healing and connection.
The Feldenkrais Method®, developed by Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais teaches through gentle, safe movement explorations how we can improve our capacity to function in our daily activities.
Body-Mind Centering® is an integrated approach to transformative experience through movement re-education and hands-on repatterning developed by Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen. It is based on the embodiment and application of anatomical, physiological, psychological and developmental principles.
"It is rare to find someone so skilled in Aquatic and Somatic Movement Therapies. Without this kind of treatment, my son Keith would possibly face a life on prescription muscle relaxants and surgeries."
